Pine Street Bedroom built-in

Our latest install was this beautiful white wall of built-ins to a home on historic Pine Street in Old City Philadelphia. The piece has a desk with bookshelves on the right side, with a closet in the middle, and a built-in bank of drawers with more shelves on the left. The desk area included LED lighting. Solid brass Firenza pulls from Signature Hardware were used and the finish is waterborne lacquer matched to Benjamin Moore Pure White.

This room was up three flights of old stairs and was expertly designed to break down to make it to its destination. Just ordered a new camera to take out on installs because this phone just isn’t cutting it any longer! Better images coming soon, promise.

White Philadelphia Wardrobe

What an elegant piece this white wardrobe has turned out to be! On the far left there is a hanging pullout for short dresses. The center section is comprised of shelves and drawers, and on the right there’s a vanity desk with a rich stained countertop and special storage for a hair dryer to stay plugged in, yet out of sight. The entire piece sits on furniture feet and the toe kick is recessed to reinforce the furniture look. The mirrors make the piece quite dramatic.

Mirrored Wardrobe Built-In

Mirrored-Bedroom-Wardrobe

This drawing for the Philadelphia based design firm Mona Ross Berman Interiors depicts a white painted wardrobe with mirrored doors, a large pullout with a clothes rod, plenty of shelves, drawers, and a vanity desk. The woodwork will be on furniture style feet with recessed toekicks. The piece is located at the top of a flight of stairs, across from the banister, near the master bedroom and bath.

Here is a grouping of original furniture in a bedroom setting. The large armoire, bookshelf, dresser, and poster bed are all built out of walnut.

The natural cherry bedside changing table does triple duty as nightstand and dresser. The tall painted hutch has hidden storage and display spaces. It would work well in a more public spot in a home, such as a dining room or family room. Grey is a versatile neutral color that complements most decor.
